Jungle Babbler
The jungle babbler is a bird found in the Indian sub continent. Jungle babbers are gregarious birds that forage in small groups of six to ten birds a habit that has given them a popular name of seven sisters in urban northern India and seven brothers in Bengali with cognates in other regional languages which also mean seven brothers. They live in flocks and like the large grey babbler they are also very noisy. They breed throughout the year. The nest is built half way up in a tree Clutch consists of 3 to 4 eggs. They feed on insects but also eat grains and nectors.
