Muscovy Domestic Duck This duck is a native of America from Rio Grande valley of Texas. Muscovy ducks are mainly seen in New Zealand and Australia, but the Muscovy domestic duck is also seen in the north at assam Nagaland border. The males are heavy 7kg the females are smaller. It is a tropical bird but adapts to cooler climate breeding acurs from august to may and can breed three times a year. Female lays 8 to 16 eggs in a tree hole and eggs take 35 days to incubate, chicks are born remain with female for 70 days.
