Baya weaver
This bird has a beautiful nest in the shape of a coconut with one end open. The male has a dark yellow hood, faint eye mask and a pale throat. The female is similar. This bird is mainly found in grass areas. It lays 2 to 5 eggs incubated by female for 14 days. The female mainly feeds the chicks insects and other animals. This bird has high visibility thanks to its distinctive nest which is built on thorny trees near water where persons or other animals cannot reach.
