Water bird
It is called a snake bird. It spends most of the time drying its wings. One good thing I noticed of this bird it keeps its neck always side ways so that the eyes can be seen. It has a beautiful black color with white stripes on the body and a yellowish brown long bill. I spotted this bird in the eastern zone of kaziranga, this bird is seen there quite often, but in the rest of India it is on the declining side. This bird likes slow moving waters in rivers and lakes.
