Red wattled lapwing

It is fairly conspicuous bird with a recognizable call. This bird gives out a did you do it alarm call the first hint of danger. It is often seen doing a broken wing display to lead human and non human intruders away from the nest. The nest is on grounds sometimes near debris areas, it lays 3 to 4 eggs that are incubates for 4 weeks the chicks fledge in 5 to 6 weeks.
