Striated babbler

The other name of this bird is striated grass bird. The main attraction of this bird is the eyes which are yellowish in color with a black spot in the center, overhaul a dullish brown above, long cross barred tail, the voice is loud with three noted whistles. It feeds mainly on grass reed beds and scrubs. It is mainly found near the coastal land of Gujarat, on my recent trip to Gujarat I had the privilege to see this bird. It is often seen in groups of five to six. It is mainly seen in early mornings or late evening.
