White neck stork
This is a common bird in Rajasthan and north east, the stork which is largely blackish with wooly white neck. It is also known as wooly neck stork. It has a black skull cap, long legs, white vent, black bill. The feathers on the body have a metallic copper sheen. It prefers drier areas than other storks. It is mostly located at the edges of the river, lakes, agricultural field, grasslands often seen in pairs or small groups. Breeding season is July to October nest is of rough pads of twigs on a tree close to water eggs 3-4 white both parents share their duties.
