Painted stork
This stork has long legs and a heavy yellow bill, white plumage, blackish green and white wings, blackish green breast band and black tail rich rosy pink wash on the wing tips. This is the most colorful waterbird. It is worth watching with wings spread. It breeds in colonies on trees near water often with other storks egrets herons. It builds a large platform with sticks laying 3to4 eggs. The painted stork spends a lot of time with shoulder hunched in grassy marshlands. The beak partially immersed in shallow waters while searching for fish frogs or snakes.
