wooly neck stork
This bird can be seen near rivers, lakes, ponds and water holes. This black stork has a short neck with distinct white fussy feathers. It is glossy black overall with a bronze green purple sheen and white vent. It has a black cap and grey face. It has a stork dark bill with red tip and pale red legs. The male can have a greyer face. The immature is similar to the adult, but with less woolly neck which can be brown its legs are not as red. This bird breeds during rains making a large stick platform nest in tall trees or on electricity pylons. It feeds on fish , reptiles and aquatic animals
