Grey headed fish eagle
This bird is mainly seen in Himalayas and also near river or small ponds. It is a winter migrant in rajasthan mostly seen in north east, It is a medium size bird, small head and a strong bill. The adult has a pale grey head and a brown body. It is seen sitting upright on a branch overlooking a stream or a pool waiting for its prey . fishes are caught swooping over the surface of the water and not by plunging like an osprey. Prefers slow running streams and rivers in woodland country.
