Yellow footed green pigeon
A plump pigeon, it has a distinct yellow green body with diagnostic yellow feet and is commonly found in big flocks. The head is greyish with lilac patches on the shoulders and black outer wings. The mantle bar and tail are grey its voice is like the floating whistle similar to other green pigeons. This large robust bird is also called yellow legged green pigeon These birds nest close to each other and lay 1to2 eggs on a bare platform . It is best sighted at well wooded areas and banyan and peepal trees
