bronze winged jacana
On my recent trip to assam first time I did spot a bronze color bird which looked beautiful like it had a gold colored plating on it. This was a bronze winged jacana. It is mainly a black bird with a striking bronze green tinge to upper parts and wings and a chestnut brown rump and tail. There is a striking white supercilium a yellow bill and a blue grey forehead. The female is larger then the male. Young ones have brown upper parts.
