Red jungle fowl

Often I always thought that the red jungle fowl is the one that is normally found among the local breed in India only on my recent trip to assam in the north eastern part of India I had a close look at this bird then I realized that its different. The main difference is the eye sight which is sharper and the tail which has a longer curve Both sexes resemble domestic breed male has glistering red orange above with yellow about the neck, metallic black tail, with long drooping central feathers. This is a fabied rooster wit a well known cock a doodle doo and the father of todays poultry with its trademark red comb and wattle, One can only marvel at its beautiful, iridescent and multicolored plumage. It has a red eye patch, golden yellow mane.
