Happy Autumn Forest Accident
Winding autumn road from Loyalsock State Forest, Pennsylvania, USA. As the title implies, the motion blur effect was more of a happy accident as a car was approaching around the bend. Not wanting the driver to think I was police setting up a speed trap, I lowered my tripod-mounted camera towards the end of a 25 second exposure photo. This in turn created a mix of motion and stillness without the need for digital manipulation except for some color and contrast adjustments.
