Briggs and Stratton Model A 4 cycle engine that I have restored.This engine is a type 60248 with the serial number 12312 which dates it to February 1936. This engine was configured for heavy duty commercial / industrial use evidenced by the closed cooling fin head design, heavy cast iron blower housing and metal crank start.
